Unions want you to believe the initiative is just about hiking the minimum wage. But the fine print contains dirty secrets they do not want you to know.

  • The initiative would give state bureaucrats access to your personal financial information, including your social security number, home address and annual pay. Nothing in the initiative protects the security of this information.

  • Small businesses will struggle to compete in the marketplace. The initiative will require annual increases in the minimum wage, forcing small businesses to continually look for ways to cut jobs and raise prices. The onerous record-keeping requirements will make it tough to compete against big business.

  
 

  • Seniors suffer the hardest hit under this initiative. They will have to stretch their fixed incomes further to meet the yearly increase in prices caused by this initiative. Worse, it will put the home health care they need further out of reach. It will be more expensive and seniors will be forced to keep meticulous and detailed records of all home health care providers. Failure to keep precise records will expose seniors to financially crippling lawsuits.
